⚠️ Please book lodging early! Memorial day weekend is a busy travel weekend in the Seattle area.
We have blocked a variety of rooms for the weekend (Saturday, Sunday, and a more limited set Friday).
When you call to book mention that you are attending our wedding at Kiana Lodge to use our block and get a 15% discount.
Transportation
To the event
From the airport to Kiana Lodge:
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is approximately 1.5 hours away from Kiana Lodge.
If flying in day-of, we recommend renting a car.
From the airport to Seattle:
Alternatively, we recommend flying in early and spending time in Seattle.
A taxi to downtown Seattle is typically $40. Rideshares such as Lyft and Uber tend to run cheaper. Without traffic, it is about a 20 minute drive.
The Sound Transit Link light rail arrives every 6-15 minutes and takes about 40 minutes. One way fare ranges from $2.25 to $3.25.
The Shuttle Express Downtown Airporter offers shuttle service starting at $18 per person to downtown Seattle hotels.

There are many lodging options in Seattle. Consider renting an Airbnb as a hotel alternative.
Getting from Seattle to Kiana Lodge:
While you can drive around to the peninsula (~1.5 hours), the preferred method is to take the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry.
⚠️ Due to the holiday weekend, ferries may have long wait times for cars.
You can drive a car on the ferry for about $18 one-way. Walk-on passengers are $8.35 each; fares for walk-ons are only collected from Seattle to Bainbridge and the return trip is free. There is no designated parking near the ferry terminal, so if you choose to walk on you may want to find alternative methods for getting to the ferry terminal.
If taking the light rail (either from the airport or downtown) it is a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal from the Pioneer Square Station.
From the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal to Kiana Lodge:
You can drive, Uber, taxi, or bus to Poulsbo and/or the Clearwater Hotel.
There is also a free courtesy shuttle from the ferry to the Clearwater if you are a club card member. If you do not have a club card you can tell the driver that you will get a club card upon your arrival.
From the Clearwater Hotel to Kiana Lodge:
There will be a complimentary shuttle from the hotel to Kiana Lodge for the wedding. Shuttles to the event start at 4:50pm. Please meet in the lobby of the Tower Building.
From the event
From Kiana Lodge to the Clearwater Hotel:
There will be a complimentary return shuttle from Kiana Lodge to the hotel departing at 9:30pm and 10:15pm.
To Seattle via the ferry:
We recommend catching the 10:30pm or midnight sailing.
Things to do
in Poulsbo:
Poulsbo is known as “Little Norway on the Fjord” and is a cute waterside town. It has a pedestrian-friendly historic downtown lined with shops, restaurants, galleries, and historic sites.
